A local driver's tip for this trip
Book the Solang and Sissu day as your second day, never the first. Arriving after a 10-hour drive and going straight up to 3,100 m is how people end up with a headache instead of a holiday.

Manali Tour Package — questions travellers ask us
What does a 4-day Manali tour package cost?
₹24,500 in a sedan and ₹29,500 in an Innova-class SUV from Chandigarh, covering the whole circuit with fuel, driver allowance, night halts, tolls, parking and permits. From Delhi add roughly ₹6,000 for the extra highway distance each way.
Is the Atal Tunnel open all year?
It stays open through most of the winter and is cleared by BRO after snowfall, but it can shut for a few hours during heavy snow. Our drivers check the morning BRO status before leaving Manali, and if it's closed we swap in Solang, Gulaba and the Naggar loop.
How many days do you need in Manali?
Three nights is the sweet spot: one valley day, one local day and buffer for weather. Two nights works if you drop the Naggar leg. Anything under two nights means the whole trip is highway.
Which is better — Rohtang Pass or Sissu?
For most travellers, Sissu. Rohtang needs a lottery permit, has a strict daily cap, closes on snowy days and involves a slow single-lane climb. Sissu through the Atal Tunnel takes about an hour from Manali, has genuine Lahaul scenery and needs no permit.
Can we do Manali as a honeymoon package?
Yes. We adjust the sequence for privacy — Jana waterfall over Solang's crowd, an early Sissu run, sunset at Naggar Castle and a Vashisht evening. Say 'honeymoon' on WhatsApp and Kartik sends the amended day plan.
Is Manali good for kids and elderly parents?
It is one of the gentler Himachal circuits. The maximum altitude on this itinerary is around 3,100 m for a couple of hours, roads are tarred throughout, and there are toilets and food stops at regular intervals. We build extra halts on request.
What should we pack for a Manali trip in winter?
Layered thermals, a windproof outer, waterproof shoes with grip, gloves, sunscreen and lip balm — the sun at altitude burns even in the cold. Snow boots and jackets can be hired at Solang for a few hundred rupees, so don't over-buy in the plains.
Do you provide snow chains in the Manali package?
Yes. From December to March, every vehicle on Manali duty carries snow chains and a shovel as standard kit, and the driver is trained to fit them at the Palchan and Gulaba checkposts.
Can we add Kasol or Manikaran to this package?
Yes — adding a Kasol–Manikaran day turns it into a 5-day trip for roughly ₹6,500 more. It is a beautiful Parvati valley detour and pairs well with the Naggar day.
Where do you pick up from in Delhi?
Anywhere in Delhi NCR — home address, IGI Terminal 1/2/3, New Delhi or Nizamuddin railway station, Gurugram, Noida or Ghaziabad. Airport and station pickups are included in the package fare.
